“Our school has integrated Step 101 as a vital resource for preparing students for their COMLEX Level 1 and USMLE Step 1 exams. We provided copies of the book to every student and faculty member, which has significantly improved our collective understanding of both the exams’ content and strategies for success.

As a faculty member, I found the book to be transformative. After reading it, I felt better equipped to guide students with informed advice and a deeper understanding of the exams' structure and the preparation required. This enhanced my ability to address student questions with greater confidence and precision.

This summer, we asked our students to read the book before beginning their second year of medical school. This early exposure allowed them to implement its strategies for question analysis, study planning, and effective time management throughout the academic year. When Dr. Hiett spoke with our students, they were eager to engage with him, lining up to ask insightful questions and dive deeper into the concepts. His kindness in offering his contact information for follow-up questions further demonstrated his dedication to student success.

Step 101 has been an invaluable tool for our program, and Dr. Hiett’s expertise has left a lasting impression on both our students and faculty. I would wholeheartedly recommend this resource to other institutions seeking to better prepare their students for the rigors of medical board exams.”

“We have had Dr. Hiett working with our second-year classes as they begin to prepare for their COMLEX Level 1 exam.  Our students have read Dr. Hiett’s book and then he has done a workshop for them on the best ways to create their COMLEX test strategy.  His book and his work with our students has been so helpful and is having a meaningful impact not only on our students as they prepare for boards, but also their outcomes in terms of board exam scores.  We value our relationship with Dr. Hiett and we continue to have him engage regularly with our students.”
